I think it’s official: Britney’s back! Looking like her old self, Brit picked up three awards at the MTV VMAs last night, including the big prize of the night, Video of the Year for “Piece of Me.”
Brit opened the show, walking onstage in a vintage Versace gown to say, “I’m here tonight to celebrate a very important birthday. This is the 25th Video Music Awards – and it starts right now.”
After the terrible year she had last year, I’m so happy to see how far she’s come. I hope she continues to get back to normal and back to dancing and singing. Cause as my girl Sigourney Fever! said the other day, girl can break it down on the dance floor.

She looked so good! And SO scared. The entire show was a mess. The weird thing is, to me, in a room filled with people who most likely won’t be there next year (Katy Perry), the teenpop stars of the 90’s were the only real celebrities there. Christina and Britney provided the celebrity that Madonna or Michael Jackson used to, which is really a sad commentary on MTV.

MTV and the VMAs are a complete joke now. I almost feel kind of lucky that I got to enjoy the good years of MTV during my adolescence because they are certainly the past now.
